Manager Product & PBV PR (all genders welcome)

in the Marketing Department at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt / Main, Germany

Job mission :

To develop a Product PR master plan, work closely with PR & Events teams, and play a key role in product unveils and test-drive opportunities. Maintaining relationships with group corporations and communication with Kia EU markets are crucial. They should ensure unbiased planning, quality products, and pursue European-wide recognized accolades. Analyzing project results and providing feedback is essential.

Your responsibilities :

Produce the PR Model Message houses and via Product colleagues ensure that the Market PRs have sufficient knowledge

Be responsible for the coordination of all EU Product PR projects, including providing a structure for collecting market PR Product plans.

Develop and oversee the creation of Kia’s Product media materials incl. press releases (European, and Global adaptation), vehicle specification and guides, and appropriate visual aids.

Develop and manage the photograph & video services to the press using approved suppliers and following internal guidelines.

Moderate Product related interviews at events. Support on written Q&A interview requests from the markets as appropriate.

Provide Media product workarounds as needed for journalist handovers.

Respond to inquiries regarding product and technical questions in a timely manner and provide on-site support at press events.

Cultivate relationship with Car of The Year jury members.

Build relationship with the market PR, factory, and collaborate to update “white paper” press-kit.

Design Press visit framework and manage requests from markets for media visits to the factory.

Ensure the communication of important topics such as required car preparation, handling and embargoes are timely communicated.

Together with GM and Senior manager, manage crisis PR topics with a Product focus.

Carefully manage product reports, including recalls from a PR perspective, delivering press statements accordingly.

Work with Manager, Events to thoroughly brief agencies as appropriate (Event leads).

Work with Specialist, Fleet Cars to ensure that all required cars for PR & Events projects are ordered & ready for necessary tasks.

Support Marketing Department with Product guideline & overall launch plan updates via the Strategic Marketing Team.

Support presentations to the media : take ownership & preparation of required materials.

Support in spokespersons media training (Product).

Support Senior Manager PR in maintaining the yearly PR Masterplan of all Product & PBV related projects (incl. annual business planning & budget).

Coordination of the Media Monitoring Services. Use output to make evaluations + set KPIs for local Country PR outputs with regards to Product.

Liaise with Kia Product and Technical Center colleagues regularly to ensure all media materials are current and up to date.

Your talents :

Masters / Bachelors. Ideally PR / Communications

Valid and clean driver’s license

Proven successful career (6 years+) in product PR.

Experience within a PR agency on Product PR desired.

Established relationships with automotive media.

Experienced manager with leadership & budget skill.

Fluent in English, additional EU languages is a plus.

Good computer skills (MS-Office), Excel & PowerPoint.

Able to present automotive topics confidently.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and capacity for leading teamwork, strong motivator & values alignment.

Self-confident, positive, flexible, and adaptable to a multicultural and quick developing environment.

Ability to work without direct supervision, problem solving and prioritizing.

Willingness for frequent business trips
