This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the sale of cutting-edge ABB robots in Germany (small medium enterprises up to regional global customers).

Reporting to the Sales Manager Consumer Industries you will use your experience and drive to build long-standing customer relationships, identifying effective solutions for customer needs.

You will be mainly accountable for :

  • Driving sales volume and margin across the Robotics portfolio
  • Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service and your knowledge of customer needs and ABB solutions
  • Preparing sales plans and bids
  • Key account management / support for key accounts - for customers in the consumer industry
  • Providing customers with products / solutions / services in line with volume, mix and profitability targets
  • Contributing to the identification and development of new market opportunities in collaboration with the wider Sales team - Monitoring customer and market trends to develop effective marketing activities in collaboration with the Marketing team
  • Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate response strategies

  • Coordinate the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc.

and evaluating data to ensure achievement of goals

Monitoring and providing reports to the Marketing and Sales organization on market intelligence

Qualifications for the role

  • Completed studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar degree; alternatively, a completed Business Administration degree combined with professional experience in a technical environment
  • Several years of experience in Sales with experience in Robotics business or industrial automation, preferable in Consumer Segments
  • Proficiency in managing key accounts is advantageous
  • Experience with web-based tools; prior experience with Sales Force is advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in international team environments with a keen understanding of cultural diversity and a sensitive approach to collaboration
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Customer-focused and action-oriented, with a systematic and structured approach
  • Willingness to travel 60% by managing collaboration with customer onsite and online
  • Strong communication skills in German and English; both written and spoken
