Summary
We are looking for a "Opto-Mechanic Design Engineer (f / m / d)" for the "Smart Sensors" division at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.
The "Smart Sensors" department develops imaging sensors, active sensors and warning sensors. These sensors are sensitive from the visual to the infrared spectral range and are used for reconnaissance and target detection in civil and military applications.
The majority of our projects are new developments, for the realization of which we have to fall back on the latest innovations or develop them ourselves.
The activities in our team offer diverse and varied challenges at the edge of what is technically possible.
Your Tasks
Design of highly complex opto-mechanical and kinematic systems, from concept development to production readiness
Design and optimization of opto-mechanical systems taking into account installation space, thermo-mechanical criteria and manufacturing costs
Derivation of requirements for subordinate functional units
Definition of suitable materials and manufacturing processes depending on structural and thermo-mechanical requirements
Execution of tolerance analyses and budgeting under consideration of manufacturability and adjustability
Calculation of strength, service life, wear, dimensioning and weight of the parts to be designed
Provision of the developed constructive solutions in the data management system (SAP)
Definition of test requirements and participation in engineering or verification tests
Active support of prototype construction as well as series production
Close cooperation in interdisciplinary project teams
Your Profile
Degree in precision engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
Several years of experience in design, ideally in the design of precision mechanical components
Experience in the 3D CAD system Creo4
Experience in the field of technical optics
SAP knowledge (material master, parts lists)
A good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
Strong communication skills and team orientation
Independent, quality and solution-oriented way of working as well as proactivity and creativity
Very good German and good English skills
