YOUR FIELD OF ACTIVITY
As Project Manager (m / f / d) Flood Protection / Water Resources Infrastructure you’ll be part of the OneWater organisation and report to the Director of the Climate, Resilience and Environment unit.
This newly created and growing unit is composed of almost 30 Environmental Engineers, Hydrologists, Wa-ter Resources Experts, Geomatics and Climate Change Specialists based in Germany and France.
As experienced project manager, you work together with your project team at the realization of international projects, from our headquarters in Bad Vilbel (Rhein Main area), Germany and abroad.
You’ll contribute to foster internal collaboration, promote knowledge sharing within and outside our unit, and further ex-pand our experience in complex and hybrid projects related to flood protection, water resource man-agement, river basin plans or disaster risk management.
Your field of activity includes :
- Lead in the preparation of masterplan, (pre-)feasibility study and tender documents
- Preparation of proposals and support of contract negotiations
- Management of internal and freelance staff
- Budget responsibility
- Travel as required

YOUR PROFILE
- Civil Engineer (Dr. Ing. / Dipl. Ing. or MSc TH / University) as acknowledged expert specialising in hydraulics, hydraulic structures, hydrology or water resources management.
- Minimum 8 years, ideally 15 years of professional experience, thereof several years of experience in long term assignments overseas as a plus
- Proven expert in various core topics like hydraulics, hydraulic structures, hydrology, water resources, flood inundation, as well as extensive interdisciplinary competence regarding flood protection and disaster risk management topics
- Experience in studies, planning, and tendering; if possible experience with construction management and supervision
- Experience in the project management and during contract negotiations, ideally in international donor financed projects
- Competencies in the preparation of proposals
- Experience in hydraulic modelling and sediment modelling as a plus
- Business fluency in English, further language skills would be of advantage (preferably German, French)
