With this position you will act as a link between the specialist department for control & automation and the application-oriented engineering department of business development and capex-based projects (up to € 10 million investment).
With your expertise in the field of automation technology, you will support all investment projects of other project managers of the engineering team as a go-to person.
Your contributing is required within the whole lifecycle of a project, starting with scoping phase / feasibility studies over technical specification set up and implementation and documentation.
How you will contribute
You will support the plant engineering team on Digitalization, Automation, Cloud-based application software rollout, IoT and SAP integration, Robotic systems applications designed to improve Plant Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Process Control and Sustainability.
- Value creation must be the focus, following scalability of solutions alongside a company application catalogue.
- Collaborate with Plant and regional Engineering teams to leverage Cloud-based solutions to achieve efficiency, productivity, capability, and a seamless end user experience.

Technical expertise in your respective area PLC and Scada programming for batch, continuous and discrete production processes, utilities process relevant for food manufacturing.
Basic understanding of real time process monitoring : OEE, Energy, Material consumption, IL6s or other process optimization methods, potentially manufacturing systems expertise.
- University degree in Engineering / Industrial Engineering with focus Automation technology / Mechatronics / Systems / Software Engineering or related fields (Master degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience)
- Min. 2 years of experience with industry 4.0 digitalization and / or automation transformation in manufacturing with experience working regionally / globally.
- Basic experience in managing, deploying digital systems using various IoT sensors, integration of robotics systems (Industrial / Collaborative) and robotic software application, AGV / AMR
- Fluency in supporting the digitization of manufacturing & engineering business process by bringing the IT know-how to business partners in Manufacturing and Technical Operations.
- Strong project management methodology knowledge and experience in project / program management, including budget and resource management.
- MS Office knowledge (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, collaboration tools e.g. SharePoint).
- Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
- Fluent English and Advanced German

- Basic know how of PLC control systems, related Scada preferably both - Siemens and Rockwell
- Safety systems / safety automation / safety PLC knowledge
- Understanding of Ethernet based industrial networks and security concepts
- Cyber security knowledge
- Implementation and integration of robotics systems (Industrial / Collaborative) and robotic software application, AGV & AMR
- Industrial vision system knowledge
- Deploying digital systems using various IoT sensors
- Knowledge of SAP functionality integration, software application and use of middleware MES / IoT Platforms, AI / ML and Edge / Cloud is a plus.
- Technical specification set up & development
- As a plus : Microsoft SQL DB basic understanding and ability to manage

Travel requirements : Up to twice per month within Europe (supplier visits and visiting other factories within Mondelez cluster).
The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
No Relocation support available, however for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
