Around the global marketing and deployment of Paessler PRTG, our Business Intelligence team already processes a wide range of different data.

To further increase the quality and value of this data and to provide our internal departments with the best possible foundation for data-based decisions, we are looking for you!

You will be part of our interdisciplinary 9-person BI Scrum team, with a particular focus on processing and linking our existing data and connecting new data sources.

YOUR TASKS

• As a Data Engineer, you will take responsibility for our data integration and processing
• You will develop and maintain complex ETL / ELT processes using Azure Synapse pipelines, PySpark Notebooks and T-SQL stored procedures
• You will integrate data from various internal & external source systems (e.g. databases, web services, event streams)
• You will take care of the structuring and preparation of the data and thus directly contribute to the improvement of our data platform
• Together with the team you will further develop our data lake, data warehouse and advanced analytics structures
• You will ensure that data pipelines and data stores are powerful, efficient, organized and reliable

YOUR PROFILE

• You can build on at least 3 years of experience in a data engineering role, with significant exposure to Azure cloud services
• You have a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining data architectures and pipelines
• You have practical experience in working with Azure Data Services - ideally Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, ADF, SQL Server or ADX
• You have in-depth knowledge of data processing and relevant programming languages such as SQL and Python
• You are familiar with different data storage technologies like file storage, delta lake and relational databases
• You are experienced with CI / CD pipelines, Azure Monitor, and Cloud Security
• You have strong analytical skills, a problem-solving attitude and a high willingness to learn
• You are a team player with the ability to communicate objectively and clearly
• You have a very good command of English
