Aufgaben

We are looking for an experienced and analytical Engineering Expert for the position of Head of Development Battery Durability (m / f / d) who will demonstrate the long-term stability of our batteries with us and develop and validate innovative test methods for this purpose.

You have the exciting opportunity to build and further develop your team to shape the future of energy storage technology and make a significant contribution.

• Disciplinary and technical leadership of your team, ensuring staff coverage and targeted development of team members
• You will ensure proof of the long-term stability of our batteries through real-time and accelerated aging methods
• Development and validation of innovative methods to ensure the quality of our batteries, always in accordance with relevant standards and norms
• You will define, implement, and track development roadmaps, considering time, budget, and quality
• Preparation of cost calculations and monitoring of budget planning.
• You will attend trade fairs, discover new trends, and integrate them into your area

Qualifikation

• Successfully completed technical studies in mechanical engineering with a specialization in materials engineering, process engineering, or materials science, or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience focusing on materials for batteries, fuel cells
• Relevant experience with stability tests and accelerated aging methods.
• Sound knowledge in statistical methods, electrochemistry, development processes (Stage-Gate process), and systematic requirements engineering.
• Proficient in common Office applications
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and a strong teamwork approach
• Limited willingness to travel (approximately 3%) for attending trade fairs or similar events
• Strong personality, enthusiasm, high commitment, and reliability
• Very good English language skills, both spoken and written, German language skills are an advantage
