Stanley Black & Decker is part way through a multi-year transformation of its global supply chain and is deploying an enterprise-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) approach across its Tools & Outdoor (T&O) manufacturing sites. The CI approach has two primary responsibilities : (1) Building capabilities in world-class CI; and (2) Deliver improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and ensuring YoY productivity ($) savings are delivered by each site.

To support this initiative, Stanley Black & Decker is building a world-class Central CI team that will work closely with the T&O Mfg. leaders and their teams to deliver these objectives.

What You’ll Do

The Central CI Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing site specific CI implementation activities to ensure their assigned sites within EU North and EU South regions have productivity plans (Kaizen Schedules) that contain sufficient operational improvement projects to attain / exceed YoY site-level productivity targets. They will also lead and develop a team of Central CI Engineers within EU regions.

This role is fundamentally a key agent for change within Stanley Black & Decker, focused on building world-class CI capabilities, supporting the identification of productivity opportunities, and supporting specific Kaizen activities to ensure flawless execution and provide additional coaching / support.

Who You Are

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant qualification
  • Manufacturing experience to include line responsibility and experience with the main manufacturing functions : production, maintenance, quality, production engineering, internal logistics, and launch (NPI)
  • Demonstrable track record of improvement in operational performance
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, or other project management certification preferred
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies in Operations
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, global and domestic, travel % may vary based on business needs
