StellenbeschreibungSteer the development project to ramp up an engineering tool for electrical component and system design, incl. CAD (CAE) from a technical perspective Define the solution of the engineering tool from front- and back-end Responsible for the technical quality and performance of the solution Single point of contact for the development team to clarify and decide technical questions Ensure achievements of the project to fulfill Siemens Energy’s engineering objectives within the high voltage switchgear domain Adress risks and opportunities during project execution and create technical solution proposals Be an ambassador of engineering process automation and a motivator to fulfill the vision of data driven switchgear design Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics or related and minimum 5 years’ experience as a software solution architect or comparable role Longstanding hands-on experience working collaboratively with product team members such as product management, engineering, data engineering and software developers Excellent analytical skills and profound expertise in making data-driven decisions and communicating the results of analyses Proven experience in the application architecture design within the engineering domain (CAE) Knowledge in Siemens PLM Teamcenter and experience in technical designing solutions that includes data modelling, (web) interfaces and engineering process automation Experienced in CAD interfaces design , NX, AutoCAD Deep knowledge of programming language C# / C++ Strong customer orientation, open-mindedness, and willingness to learn, continuous development of own skills, excellent communication skills and ease of getting along in a global and multicultural environment Result-driven and excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills as well as passionate about data and analytics, and driving data value across all parts of an organization and ecosystems Fluency in both spoken and written English, knowledge of German on B2 level and any other language is a plus

A Snapshot of Your Day
You start the working day with a short daily SCRUM meeting in which the development team discusses the next development topics in the project, clarifies questions directly and, if necessary, evaluates new requirements from our internal customers. Following this, you will take part in an internal team meeting to get actual information from the management level and insights into the activities of your team members. Afterwards, you review work on the design specification of an interface which is needed in the next development sprint. After that you participate in a meeting with developers to discuss and decide open questions related to databases and data management. After documentation of the decisions and the next steps you prepare the daily of the next day. When this is done your working day is already over and you enjoy the rest of the day.
