The Field Applications Engineer I (FAE I) supports the sales organization by providing technical expertise and solutions tailored to Aerospace & Defense (A&D) customer requirements. This role involves analyzing customer technical specifications, recommending compliant product configurations, and supporting implementation planning to ensure successful adoption in regulated, mission‑critical environments.
The FAE I reviews sales proposals for technical accuracy and completeness, develops and delivers technical presentations, and serves as a key technical liaison between A&D customers, sales, and internal engineering teams. This position contributes to customer satisfaction and sales success while gaining exposure to increasingly complex systems, standards, and customer programs within the Aerospace & Defense market.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Advise and support sales teams with technical guidance, pricing estimates, and product implementation strategies.
• Analyze customer technical specifications and recommend optimal product configurations and installation processes.
• Estimate implementation effort, time, and resources required for customer deployments.
• Review sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Develop and deliver technical product presentations for customers and internal sales teams.
• Provide customer training and technical troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful product deployment.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in field applications, technical support, sales engineering, or a related function.
• Exposure to complex tasks within the job function is expected as part of skill development.
• Typically reports to a manager while gaining experience in advanced technical and customer-facing responsibilities.
