PANTA is a fintech startup building next-generation technology for the indexing and investment management industry . Our platform powers the creation, calculation and distribution of financial indices used by asset managers, ETF providers and financial institutions worldwide.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and building high-performance data systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement high-performance backend services for financial data processing and index calculations
2. Build and maintain Java/Kotlin microservices in a distributed architecture
3. Work with large datasets and develop efficient algorithms for portfolio and index calculations
4. Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers and product teams
5. Contribute to system architecture and technology decisions
6. Ensure high reliability, performance and scalability
7. Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices

Required Skills & Experience

1. Strong (5-10years) experience with Java and/or Kotlin
2. Experience building microservice architectures
3. Solid understanding of distributed systems and performance optimization
4. Experience working with large data sets and data processing pipelines
5. Familiarity with cloud environments
6. Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architecture
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in capital markets, asset management or fintech
2. Experience with index calculation, portfolio analytics or market data
3. Knowledge of stream processing or real-time systems
4. Experience with Angular or modern frontend frameworks
5. Cloud infrastructure experience
