Hauptaufgaben
• Manages the end-to-end process of incoming materials, including receiving, inspection, and documentation. This involves using various systems (like FEDLOG and G-Army) to classify, catalog, and activate all property. It also includes issuing parts to maintenance customers and managing all related transaction files.
• Maintains hand receipts for non-expendable property, conducts required inventories, and initiates reports or surveys when necessary. This role also involves formulating justifications for new equipment based on mission requirements and workload data.
• Oversees the correct and safe storage of materials, protecting them from damage and preventing waste or fraud. This includes participating in regular inventories, ensuring the storage area is orderly, and acting as a parts runner for urgent repair work.
• Safely operates forklifts and other handling equipment, often in confined spaces. This requires skill in judging loads, dimensions, and balance to move, lift, and stack materials efficiently and without damage.
• The role includes supporting, and potentially leading, a tool room and/or a POL (Petroleum, Oil, Lubricants) storage area, which services the largest US Army-owned general support (GS) repair facility in Europe.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
C-4a:
MINIMUM Hauptschulabschluss (E&T Level I) PLUS 2 years of creditable experience that included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of clerical experience.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

• If requirement exists, the incumbent of this position is obligated to perform TDY within and outside Germany, shift work, weekend and holiday work.
• Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 33 lbs./15 kg.
• Applicant must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B and must be able to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator license.
• English Language Proficiency level B1 AND German Language Proficiency level B2 required.
