Field Applications Engineer

We are currently seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join one of our clients' teams. The Field Applications Engineer supports the sales organization by providing technical expertise and solutions aligned with customer requirements. This role involves analyzing technical specifications, recommending appropriate product configurations, and guiding implementation planning to ensure successful adoption. The engineer reviews sales proposals for accuracy and completeness, develops and delivers technical presentations, and serves as a key link between customers and internal teams. This position contributes to customer satisfaction and sales success while gaining exposure to more complex tasks within the field of applications engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Advise and support sales teams with technical guidance, pricing estimates, and product implementation strategies.
• Analyze customer technical specifications and recommend optimal product configurations and installation processes.
• Estimate implementation effort, time, and resources required for customer deployments.
• Review sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Develop and deliver technical product presentations for customers and internal sales teams.
• Provide customer training and technical troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful product deployment.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in field applications, technical support, sales engineering, or a related function.
• Exposure to complex tasks within the job function is expected as part of skill development.
• Typically reports to a manager while gaining experience in advanced technical and customer-facing responsibilities.

• Strong technical knowledge of product offerings and their applications.
• Ability to analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Proficiency in preparing accurate sales proposals and estimating implementation effort.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and customer training skills.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with product specifications, technical documentation, and installation processes.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with sales, engineering, and product development teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a customer-facing environment.
