This position will be overseas and is an onsite positionResponsibilitiesGathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning, and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates the development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities, and to understand and shape requirements.Design, Develop, and Implement Diverse Wide Area Networking EnvironmentsDevelop and implement QoS for a voice / video / data network environmentUse network/application performance management tools to troubleshoot, analyze, test, and provide recommended solutions for performance problemsDevelops and generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, resulting in documents and drawings, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architectureProvide operational support services for WAN and LAN technologiesPlans network layouts and configures systems for user environmentsAnalyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirementsWork with DOD customers to fill information gaps and communicate architecture and technical solutionsSupports the acquisition of hardware and softwareDevelop detailed logical designs in areas of: Gigabit Ethernet Switching/Routing (OSPF, EIGRP & MP-BGP), QOS, DMVPN, FLEXVPN, IPv4 & Multicast architecture, L3VPN, L2VPN, Zone Based Firewalls, MPLS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, and 802.1X configurationsPerform Network Engineering and Architecture Duties for a Wide Area Networking environmentBasic understanding of Identity Services Engine (ISE) distributed deploymentQualificationsBachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)Required Skills and ExperienceClearance Required: TS/SCICisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) (Routing and Switching) certificationCompTIA Security+ Plus Certification3+ years of Cisco Routing and Switching experience; demonstrated technical proficiency in LAN, WAN, Network Management, and Security.
