Your jobwill be to be the technical expert tasked with establishing smartpricing models and policies for all OLX customer units (Motors,Real Estate, Goods, Jobs, and Services). Pricing that is fair forthe customers, proportional to the market value we deliver, andthat works for OLX. This is a unique opportunity! You will be partof a strategic movement inside the company, working in an area witha very significant businessimpact!

Your job will beto provide technical guidance to a team of Product, Commercial, andData Science experts working in the areas of pricing and pricingoptimization. You will be responsible for fueling the team withtechnical inspiration and mentoring the team members to explore thenewest technologies in Causal Inference and Decision Science whiledelivering business value. You will be exposed to key stakeholders,and you will have direct contact with internal customers. You willhave the freedom to design experiments across different lines ofbusiness and test things. Most importantly, you will also witnesshow your work impacts the day-to-day business and the growth ofOLX.

Finally, you willbe a mentor and a thought leader for the practice of Data Scienceand Analytics across the organizations that constitute OLX, findingopportunities to have an impact not only for the business and ourusers but also for the community of Data Scientists spread acrossour hubs.

What you willbe doing :

• Work in the Data Scienceteam, focusing on Pricing Optimization, from a platform andmarketplace perspective.
• Leading projects andinitiatives in collaboration with local Data Science and DataEngineering teams, as well as Product and Commercialleaders.
• You will maintain strong relationshipswith stakeholders. This means asking a lot of questions tocommercial people and translating their requirements intoachievable projects. It also means collaborating with other teams,like infrastructure and data engineering to get things done in anelegant and timely manner.
• Work with ProductAnalytics to track the KPIs of different ML use cases and measurethe impact on our customers.
• Partner with theExperimentation team to integrate the KPIs and their proxies intothe Experimentation (A / B testing)platform.
• Helping to formulate data sciencesolutions in order to improve business jointly with productmanagers and engineers.
• Ensuring successfulachievement of research and development objectives throughstakeholder management and mentoring of more junior DataScientists.
• Working on optimizing the modelsaccording to the requirements of the specific use case andcollaborating with other team members to bring in production andscale machine learning solutions.
• Measuring theimpact of your models against companygoals.
• Working in an agile environment todeliver high-quality software againstschedules.
• You will work in multi-functionalteams, in a diverse, multinationalenvironment.
