Location : Dusseldorf, Germany
Salary : €42k - €60k
A technology company specializing in large-scale 3D printing is hiring a Sales Area Manager to cover the regions of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
You will ideally be based in the Dusseldorf, and this role offers remote working.
Your focus will be navigating the entire customer journey, from lead generation to project kick-off, while engaging in strategic activities with a global network of customers.
The current sales team is expanding, increasing the company’s market presence. This role is important for driving successful sales projects, ensuring customers receive high-quality service, and building relationships.
Responsibilities :
- Reach assigned sales target goals in assigned territories.
- Leveraging new and existing customers.
- Precise and punctual in reporting & updating CRM software;
- Ability to proactively organize business trips in assigned territories
- Generation of market insights needed for the marketing department to implement correct strategies and support business development in assigned territories
- Strategically find and evaluate new partners.
- Ability to Manage external partners like agents and resellers
- Create valuable connections in assigned territories and develop a network suitable to increase business penetration and order intake
- Sell and manage sales opportunities with complete autonomy
- Autonomy to prepare a strategic commercial proposal
- Weekly reporting to direct manager about trends, and results in assigned territory.
- Ability to generate strategy in assigned territory to increase order intake and profitability.
- Participate in trade fairs, customer visits, active involvement in events, and customer visits.
About you :
- Proficient in German language
- Ability & propension to act as team player and be open to share information with colleagues
- Ability to technically understand customer goals, and definition of correct technical solutions.
- Be technically respected by customers
- Driving license
- Ability to use CRM software
- Preferably engineering background
- Knowledge or interest in 3D printing and / or CNC machining is considered a plus
- Transparent approach with customers & colleagues
Experience :
- At least two / three years of successful sales experience. Both direct and indirect sales
- Experience in managing and navigating complex sales cycles, used to continuous improvement approach and changes within the sales process
- Proven experience in managing an assigned territory with full autonomy
- A previous experience in application engineering is considered a plus
- Experience in high-value OEM-producing complex machinery is considered a key element.
