Our client, a leading insurance firm, is seeking an experienced Freelance Guidewire Engineer for a long-term contract based in Germany.

if successful you'll be part of a dynamic multinational team working on major insurance transformation project. You'll be focused on implementing and optimizing Guidewire InsuranceSuite to improve process efficiency and elevate customer experience.

You will be tasked with configuring, customizing, and integrating Guidewire products to meet key business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Guidewire Configuration & Integration : Design, configure, and deploy Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and / or BillingCenter to meet functional requirements.
• Customization and Enhancement : Customize Guidewire solutions to align with business requirements, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Data Integration : Develop and integrate data models, leveraging Guidewire data architecture to support seamless data flows between systems.
• API and Interface Development : Build APIs and web services for effective communication across platforms and third-party integrations.
• Performance Tuning : Analyze and optimize system performance, addressing bottlenecks and implementing best practices for Guidewire.
• Collaboration and Documentation : Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure Guidewire solutions align with business needs and maintain thorough documentation of workflows, processes, and changes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Professional Experience : 2+ years in Guidewire development, with a strong focus on PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
• Technical Expertise : Proficiency in Guidewire configuration, integration, and data model customization; strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Gosu scripting language.
• Certifications : Guidewire certification in at least one or more Centers (Policy, Claim, or Billing) preferred.
• Integration Knowledge : Experience with B2B integrations, RESTful services, messaging, and Guidewire connectors.
• Agile Environment : Ability to work within an Agile environment; experience with version control, CI / CD, and code review processes.
• Insurance Domain Knowledge : Strong understanding of insurance business processes, particularly within P&C or life insurance sectors.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Guidewire DataHub or InfoCenter experience
• Experience with automated testing frameworks for Guidewire
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus (As there maybe another project you can be considered for in addition to this one!!)
