Senior R&D Data Scientist (all genders)
Come join our Operational Design Center, a capability within Global Development Operations, as Senior R&D Data Scientist! Our vision is to bring innovative medicines to patients faster by optimizing clinical study design and operational planning to drive operational effectiveness and efficiency through informed, data-driven decision making.
As Senior R&D Data Scientist, you will facilitate the development, evolution and delivery of predictive and proscriptive analytic solutions, including an existing Bayesian causal inference model, to support study feasibility, operational planning and delivery of our portfolio.
Also, you will develop predictive models to forecast trial durations, patient recruitment, site and investigator performance, among other more sophisticated models.
Through close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, the incumbent will ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and deliver actionable insights that will guide strategic decision making and / or unlock operational optimization opportunities.

Who you are : Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, bioinformatics, data science or related field3+ years of professional experience in data science and analytics, biopharmaceutical R&D setting preferredExcellent understanding of the R&D processes from discovery to clinical developmentFamiliarity with clinical development in a biopharmaceutical R&D setting;
- experience in oncology, neurology, and immunology a plusFamiliarity with data, sources, applications, and systems used in the pharmaceutical industry relevant to clinical study feasibility and operational planningSolid data science and / or machine learning experience;
demonstrated success with feature engineering, algorithm development, advanced analytics, predictive modeling; experience with statistics and / or product development a plus Expertise in relevant software and programming languages (e.
