The Simulation Engineer Electronics will be focused on modeling and simulation of electronic circuits, related physical domains and day-to-day support for the developing team in designing, characterizing, and testing various aspects of automotive products

Key responsibilities

  • Modeling, simulating and analysis of electronic circuits and systems to meet technical product requirements / or circuit design
  • Perform testing, characterization and verification of electronic designs and their key electronic components
  • Explore and apply simulations in related domains, such as 3D thermal analysis, power distribution analysis, parasitic extraction, EMC and magnetics
  • Cooperation and coordination with in-house department as well as external consulting for specific use cases
  • Support BorgWarner product development team with technical design analysis, trade off studies, and design reviews
  • Development of simulation models for internal use

What we’re looking for

  • Masters’ degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in Automotive Electronic or e-Mobility Engineering
  • Knowledge of relevant EMC standards, standing orders and legal requirements
  • Knowledge in the field of theoretical electrical engineering and electrodynamics
  • Capable to apply relevant simulation tools and methods
  • Experience in a lab environment with electrical circuits preferred
  • Work in a diversified team, where strong cross-team and cross-domain communication skills are key
  • Fluency in English and German is required
