Job Summary : The Manufacturing Manager will oversee the daily production and operations at the facility. This role involves managing production schedules, ensuring quality control, improving processes, and leading a team of skilled workers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities :
- Production Management : Oversee the entire manufacturing process to ensure efficient and timely production. Develop and implement production schedules and workflows.
- Quality Control : Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and specifications. Implement quality control procedures and address any quality issues promptly.
- Process Improvement : Continuously analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Team Leadership : Lead, train, and mentor a team of production workers, supervisors, and technicians. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
- Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.
- Budget Management : Develop and manage the manufacturing budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, quality control, and process improvements to senior management.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the material handling industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
