Database Engineer
SR2 are partnered with a Global Insurance provider who are seeking an AWS Aurora Database Specialist with a strong focus on reliability engineering.
This role goes beyond traditional database administration; we are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS Aurora to fine-tune and enhance their current setup.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and improve the existing AWS Aurora database configuration and performance.
- Analyse the installation to identify opportunities for optimisation in terms of performance, stability, and ease of use.
- Collaborate with the team to address database-related issues, bringing your Aurora expertise to ensure system reliability.
Qualifications :
- Extensive experience with AWS Aurora database systems.
- Ability to assess existing setups and offer strategic improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills in database reliability, performance tuning, and stability enhancements.
- Experience with PEGA integration is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills; proficiency in German is a plus, or a strong command of English (understandable for non-native speakers).
- Familiarity with general database administration, but specialising in AWS Aurora is essential.
Contract / Freelancer Details
- Remote (Candidates residing in Germany would be preferable)
- Contracted until end of 2024 with extension likely
