Regional Tax NCE is mainly based in Hamburg Germany with the current team working from four locations (Hamburg, Malmö, Warsaw and Szczecin).
The team is divided between indirect- and direct tax and consist of approx. FTEs.
Responsibilities
The Director role include managing a team of approximately specialists across different geographies and tax fields and the relevant candidate will therefore be expected to have excellent leadership skills with experience in managing teams of specialists.
The Tax Director will anchor the full tax strategy in the region, it will therefore be a focus area to connect with the business and have a solid understanding of the commercial aspects and frontline operations.
Through the gained understanding the tax director is expected to translate commercial complexity into actionable tasks with the tax subject matter experts and vice versa take the complexity of the tax area and translate that to an understandable message to decisions makers in the business.
In this undertaking it is the role of the Regional Tax Director to assess and report tax risk and ensure relevant measures are deployed to mitigate and manage such risks.
- As Tax Director in the Region, you will be responsible for managing all tax related matters excluding personal taxes that are managed by the Mobility HR team
- The Regional Tax Director will be expected to be an active member of the Global Tax Management team to ensure knowledge and best practice sharing across the business with focus on standardizing processes and optimizing business cases
- We expect the candidate to apply a business partner mindset being pro-active and solution oriented while maintaining a firm view on compliance to ensure operations are in line with Vestas’ tax policy and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Solid experience from leading tax specialist in a global matrix organization
- Relevant formal training at post graduate level or similar
Competencies
- English at professional level verbally and writing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good business acumen
- Ability to form and execute a strategy
