Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA) enables our customers to run safer and more efficient operations. We are now looking for a committed Front-Line "Sales Manager (m / f / d)" to join our IA business unit and drive the growth of Honeywell's Sensing Solutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

In this role, you will lead a regional direct and channel sales team to achieve key sales objectives, while driving strategic projects and initiatives.

You will collaborate with customers, key partners, enhance solution-focused sales and manage key marketing activities.

We desire a seller, ready to take the challenge of leading and developing a diverse team of sales professionals. The team is focused on Sensing Solutions and incorporates Account Development Managers, Regional Distribution Managers and Field Application Engineers as well as matrix reports from LOBs and the Inside Sales Team.

We offer a Home Office solution allowing remote work that can be performed from any location in the sales region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional sales team to meet defined sales targets
  • Coach the sales team in a proactive selling method using a professional CRM tool
  • Provide accurately forecast orders and growth opportunities and feed them into the wider business organization
  • Drive a collaborative, winning culture
  • Build a strong diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying and developing successors, driving retention and engagement while fostering an inclusive culture
  • Focus the sales team on delivering against their expectations, increase personal accountability, identify areas of risk with mitigation plans and provide input to the other functions to help deliver a better customer experience
  • Manage pipeline performance through structured plans and strategic customer / partner engagement
  • Coach team members, assess gaps and develop personalized growth plans

Key skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification
  • 10 years of sales experience with corresponding success record in driving sales growth
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing, coaching and motivating high performing teams
  • Profound domain experience and market understanding within sensors and / or industrial automation segment
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Excellent planning, execution and project-management capabilities
  • Critical & multi-level thinking (from strategic to tactical)
  • Full proficiency in German and English
