Short position / team introduction :
We are looking for an experienced and visionary Software Engineering Team Lead to guide the development of our Reach Ads product.
This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a diverse and dynamic team, combining in-house talent in Berlin with remote team members.
You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, including the Product Lead, to define the product vision and drive innovative solutions in the ad-tech industry.
In this position, your main tasks will include innovation, overseeing the software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and inspiring your team to achieve excellence.

As our new Team Lead in the Client Facing Platforms department, you will be :
Responsible for leading a team of talented and diverse engineers.
Creating a mid- & long-term strategy for the team.
Working with a variety of technologies, including Java, Python and AWS.
Collaborating closely with Product & Development teams on company initiatives by building easy to maintain and scalable solutions.

Ensuring we build things right : system availability and stability, quality of service, compliance and security.
Coordinating projects, ensuring our quality standards.
Responsible for the growth of team members.
A coach and mentor for your team, holding frequent one-to-one meetings.
Responsible for a safe and healthy team culture, leading to team performance and quality of life.
Responsible for transparent communication and a culture of trust within the team.
Managing individual performance, expectations and continuous feedback.

Your responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Establish and lead a hybrid team of software engineers, with members based both in-house in Berlin and working remotely.
- Product Development : Collaborate closely with the Product Lead and assigned Staff Engineer to define and shape the future of Reach Ads, ensuring alignment with industry trends and business goals.
- Innovation & Strategy : Drive the technical vision and strategy for Reach Ads, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies to maintain our competitive edge.
- Project Management : Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Mentorship & Growth : Foster a healthy culture of continuous learning and professional development, providing mentorship and support to team members.
Your profile :
Minimum of 5 years in software engineering, with at least 2 years experience leading a team.
Proficiency in Java as a programming language and good understanding of software architecture.
Experience or willingness to work with a distributed team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Agile mindset and experience with modern development practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and technologies.
A curious attitude and the desire to challenge and be challenged!
Nice to have : experience with ad-tech platforms and technologies.
