Engineer Security Operations (all genders) with focus on Firewalls
The Germany SOC is currently planning to grow their team and are looking for an Engineer Security Operations (all genders) with focus on firewalls.
Your tasks :
- Support the planning, conception, and implementation of security measures in the firewall environment with vendors such as Palo Alto (knowledge of Fortinet and Sophos is an advantage)
- Participation in technical consulting to improve the customer security environment
- Take a full track’ responsibility (finishing tasks and closing projects), by doing so all agreements are fulfilled in an effective manner.
- Performance monitoring
- Analysis, classification & troubleshooting
- Creation and updating of use cases / documentation
- Co-design and further development of managed security services and processes
- Ensuring the quality of service in support
- Understanding the security needs of the customers and act as a trusted advisor
- Be available and responsive to colleagues, so that together the goals can be achieved.
- Independent handling of operational administration tasks according to ITIL
What you should bring :
- Successfully completed training in the field of computer science or a technical degree, ideally with a specialization in network and / or IT security
- Ideally you will have 5 years experience with various Palo Alto solutions, Strata, Panorama, Cortex, Prisma Access.
- Theoretical and practical expertise in network, routing and security protocols as well as operating systems (Linux, Windows)
- Good knowledge in the operation of IT security systems (FW, UTM, Proxy, IPS, VPN, SIEM, Log Management)
- Good analytical and communication skills as well as structured approach to error analysis & troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a team, service orientation and enthusiasm for new things
- Very good knowledge of German and English
