Commercial Manager
Job Responsibilities :
1. Engineering Tendering :
- Understand the cost structure of wind turbines and provide cost-related information to business departments.
- Support sales and business development teams in preparing competitive bids, review project budgets.
- Review the commercial terms of tenders, perform benchmarking on deviations, and prepare commercial bids, responsible for clarifying commercial bids during the project tendering process.
- Propose flexible and feasible optimization suggestions for the commercial and financial solutions of projects to support the business development team, promote such optimizations, and seek approval.
2. Contract Engineering and Negotiation :
- Understand various transaction structures for different business purposes, identify potential commercial risks, and propose solutions.
- Lead the revision / adjustment of commercial terms or other legally binding documents, optimize the company’s contract templates, and design appropriate commercial (and ideally legal) terms to meet the needs of various types of contracts.
- Directly and indirectly participate in negotiations, especially with tier-one global customers and European business partners from different national backgrounds.
- Perform horizontal analysis of contract terms for different global key accounts (IKA) and customize a set of contract benchmarks applicable to cross-regional IKA projects.
- Organize contract reviews and related functions of contract risk management.
3. Post-Contract Management :
- Work closely with the sales team and project management team, participate in project lifecycle management, and provide commercial support covering topics such as cash flow management, payment management, insurance, bank guarantee management, and support for contract dispute resolution.
- Manage commercial documents for internal audits, including quotes, proposals, and contracts.
Qualifications :
1. The Business Manager (Business Partner) should have at least 3-5 years of experience and knowledge in project bidding and contract negotiation for international projects (mainly equipment sales and / or overseas EPC projects), with a keen understanding of FIDIC terms.
2. Preference for candidates with a background in international trade, taxation, international investment and financing, law, insurance, and finance.
3. Priority given to candidates with experience in wind power projects or similar power projects (manufacturer or customer background).
4. Bachelor’s degree or higher in International Trade, Business Management, Law, English, or related / similar fields.
5. Excellent German and English communication skills, including reading, writing, and oral expression, including the negotiation of contract terms.
