Senior Software Engineer - Core API (m/f/d)

Introduction Sentence

The Core API Team oversees the platform connecting end-users with back-office systems. You will build the scalable application infrastructure and APIs bringing content to Joyn customers in the most efficient, most effective, and highest quality as possible.

In this position, you work within our hybrid model Highly Remote . You can work mostly remote within Germany. You can find all information here.

The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Possible travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed.

What you can expect in this role

You develop high-scalable and high-available micro-services, using modern technologies consisting of TypeScript, Node.

js, GraphQL, Kafka, AWS, GCP, Gitlab and more

• Also, you build robust GraphQL queries and REST APIs
• We work as a team, respect and support each other in the team, practice agile methodologies and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
• You take care of running your services in production, continuously identify and resolve technical debt, quality issues and gaps in engineering processes
• You focus on learning, applying, and extending best-in-class industry practices to continue to raise the bar on providing developer delight and speed of delivery for the team
• Besides that, you follow trends in software and streaming tech and turn your learnings into features and improvements that delight our customers

Your essential experience and education

• You have a university degree in computer science, information technology, media engineering, or equivalent
• You gained several years of experience in API & service architecture design, preferably with GraphQL or a related technology
• Additionally, you have extensive experience with AWS at scale, particularly with auto-scaling and serverless architectures.
• Besides that, you have significant, sound, and proven experience in TypeScript / Node.js, additional languages are a plus
• You strive to improve the overall quality and maintainability of the existing code base
