Supply Supervisor DWS
Purpose : Manages, oversees, provides Supervision, and reports on all processes related to the receiving, processing, issuing, and storing, of all Components of End Item (COEI), Secondary Items, and Basic Issue Items (BII) for all Army Prepositioned Stocks 2 (APS-2) Modification Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE).
Responsible for Inventory Control and management of Government equipment.
Positions reporting to this function : Supply Technician Leads, Supply Technicians, Warehouse Workers, Laborers, Movement Control Drivers, and Material Coordinator -Truck Driver ADR Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Generates Detailed Reports from the Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A).
- Corresponds with other Managers and / or the Supply Manager to provide detailed analysis for informed decision-making process.
- Able to interact professionally with Amentum Management, Government and VIP’s.
- Able to accurately and directly instruct all personnel with-in COSIS sections on proper ordering, tracking, updating and supply management of assets in support of.
- Responsible to ensure each and every item is ordered, received, stored and issued according to policy and procedures.
- Responsible to ensure all APS-2 equipment has the proper COEI and BII. Inventories are performed, items are maintained correctly, stored according to regulations.
- Responsible to ensure all Inventories are scheduled, performed, reported and filed according to regulations.
- Ensure the accurate reporting of all assigned COEI and BII equipment in the relevant LIS.
- Conducts item research in GCSS-A, and LIS to include frustrated items.
- Corrects errors in paperwork and / or relevant LIS data and reports all errors promptly to the Supply Manager.
- Conducts inventories, ensures shortages are placed on a shortage Annex and performs quality checks on COEI and BII stored on vehicles or end items.
- Ensure that containers are packed, inventoried, documented and sealed.
- Knows and understands the policy and procedures covering TMDE and AOAP.
- Ensures all equipment requiring calibration is inventoried, dates of calibration recorded, items needing calibration is properly sent to TMDE for calibration.
- Ensures all personnel understand and follow all Company, Government policies, procedures and directives as directed. Ensure all personnel follow all Safety directives for APS-2.
- Known working knowledge of ISO standards and process improvement practices.
- Effectively manages small teams of personnel in all aspects of the job to include pay, vacation, sick leave, and timecard management.
- Ensure all personnel follow all Safety directives for APS-2.
- Responsible to provide leadership ensuring COSIS teams are conducting those actions necessary to ensure equipment meet TM 38-470 standards and the preservation to prevent deterioration while in storage.
- Responsible to ensure the Surveillance of equipment and material are conducted and recorded according to all Technical Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and Army Regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification & Experience Requirements : The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and / or abilities required.
- 7 years of recent specialized experience in logistics. Prior military supply experience (Army MOS : 92Y / 920A or equivalent) is a plus.
- 3+ years of leadership experience required.
- Formal Training : GCSS-A certification and / or Military AIT / industry 40hr course equivalent.
- Must complete internal APS-2 GCSS-A training within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
- In the absence of the manager, perform those duties as directed.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistics Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials / authorization. Note : US Citizenship is required for facility credentials / authorization at this work location.
- Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.
Specialized knowledge and skills :
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to independently operate with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of logistics and maintenance (at least 5 years of current experience), preferably in an Army Prepositioned Stocks environment.
Additional Requirements :
1) LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS :
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Formal Training : GCSS-A certification and / or Military AIT / industry 40hr course equivalent.
2) PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Stooping, sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves-51+ with the assistance of another person, touching dexterity (hand and finger), carrying, clear seeing-general, close vision, color perception, clear speech, driving vehicle, moving objects.
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.
- Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required)
3) WORK ENVIRONMENT :
- Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, mainly sitting and constant use of speech / hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning / organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
- May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
