- Your task will focus on the development data-based process optimization in the field of advanced manufacturing
- First, you will evaluate data requirements for process optimization and categorize them according to their criticality
- You will research and evaluate existing methods to analyze sensitive process data whilst protecting the data sovereignty, with a focus on federated learning
- Finally, you will develop a method to use sensible process data locally on an edge device in combination with a cloud-edge based federated learning approach
What you need to make real what matters.
- You are currently enrolled in a technical or scientific degree such as computer science, games engineering or engineering sciences
- You have solid experience in python and you write good-quality code which other people can understand
- You have worked with machine learning methods, especially with a focus on federated learning
- You enjoy scientific work and are characterized by a structured and independent way of working
- Very good written and oral English or German skills are required
