Skeleton's Engineering team is looking for a driven and experienced
Product Owner - STATCOM
with the vision to match our ambition.
As a Product Owner Statcom at Skeleton Technologies, you would be responsible for a dedicated product family from start of development until end of life.
You make sure that the development work stays on track in terms of timing, deliverables, and product cost. In case of deviations escalate to the manager and proactively propose solutions on how to get the project back on track.
Ensure that the Engineering team deliverables are compliant with the technical requirements set for each project.
The main scope regards timing, deliverables, and product cost is the Engineering team, but interfaces with other teams are clearly understood and deliverables and scope are agreed.
Your tasks in the net zero journey :
- Responsible for a product after the DevCo decision to develop a product until end of life of the product.
- Responsible for the product COGS starting from development, during series production until end of life.
- Responsible that the product is developed and launched in time , thus responsible for the product development plan.
- Mandate to make technical decisions (e.g. we go forward with electrolyte A or B if cost neutral).
- Identification of product related risks and definition of mitigation measures incl. timeline.
- Responsibility that the product properties fulfil the customer requirements.
- Responsible for annual product productivity after SOP. The productivity rate is defined in the design brief.
- Technical contact person for product related questions (internal + external).
- Main interface for customer-related quality issues (8D) for own product.
- Responsibility of project change requests (PCR) and definition of resulting product branching strategy.
- Responsible for ensuring the product is protected in terms of IP.
Requirements
We don’t expect to master it all. At Skeleton, you’ll have the support of the team and we work together to achieve our goals.
However, there are requirements you should be able to fulfill to succeed in this role :
- Preferred education in Electrical Engineering or System Engineering, Product Management or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of high voltage energy storage design.
- Familiarity with grid applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of High Voltage DC design.
- Excellent communication- and presentation skills to push technical topics.
- Strong ownership and responsibility of your tasks.
- Good problem solver.
- Resilient and flexible to succeed in scaling, fast-speed and very dynamic company environment.
- Location for the job could be in Germany or Estonia, any other possible locations would be discussed separately.
- Availability and willingness to travel.
