Research Assistant (m/f/d)
The position (as a doctoral candidate or postdoc ) is jointly advertised by three research groups with a cognitive-experimental focus : Biological Psychology (Prof.
Basten), Developmental Psychology (Prof. Karbach), and Experimental Psychology (Prof. Hilbig). Depending on the fit in terms of interest and previous experience, employment will be in one of the three groups.
Your area of responsibility :
- Participation in research and teaching in one of the three groups
- Teaching in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Psychology (in the subject of one of the working groups)
- In the case of further academic qualification, it is possible to apply and to check for a reduction in teaching duties from 8 SWS (teaching hours a week) to 6 SWS (in the case of a habilitation) or 4 SWS (in the case of a doctorate).
- Part of the work can be done via digital work (home office).
- If desired by the applicant, part-time employment can also be considered.
Your requirements profile :
- If applying as a doctoral candidate : Successfully completed studies (Master's degree or Diploma) at a university or comparable institution of higher education in psychology or a subject related to psychology
- If applying as a postdoc : Successfully completed doctorate (PhD or comparable) in psychology or a subject related to psychology
- Fit of research focus to one or more of the above-mentioned research groups
- Expected : Very good English and methodological skills
- Desirable : Experience with planning, conducting and analysing experimental studies, experience with common statistical programs (e.
g. R, MPlus), possibly experience with programming (e.g. Python, PsychPy, Matlab or similar), possibly experience with biopsychological methods (e.g. EEG or fMRI)
