Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner Germany

IDEXX are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and experienced HR professional to join our EMEA HR function during our time of significant growth and change.

As an HR Advisor at IDEXX you will work in strong collaboration with the Senior HR Business Partners in assigned areas of the business and proactively build professional relationships and engage with frontline leaders and employees to assist with a wide variety of initiatives to drive business performance and company-wide HR strategy.

The purpose of the IDEXX HR team is to enable meaningful and engaging experiences for all our IDEXX employees through innovative people practices.

As such, this is a hybrid position and requires a flexible presence in the office when needed, but also the flexibility to work from home when possible.

HR is evolving just as fast as IDEXX and we are working on lots of new initiatives to improve the value we provide to the business and our managers and employees.

In this Role

• You will Partner with frontline leaders and provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on all matters related to the people aspects of the business, including organizational development, employee engagement and development, talent retention, employee relations, talent analytics, compensation, benefits and other areas.
• You will ensure compliance of HR practices with country employment laws so you are knowledgeable on local employment laws, regulations and best practices and you will incorporate this knowledge into your day-to-day work.
• You will effectively deal with absenteeism, non-performance, non-compliance or ethical issues.
• You will manage projects of local and global initiatives, from planning through delivery.
• You will guide local organizational change through business savviness, relationship management and collaboration skills and knowledge of internal company processes and HR practice.

You will facilitate and drive change efforts and communication strategies.

You will work in close collaboration with the Works Council and advise the business on the required Works Council involvement.

What do you need to succeed?

• You are a customer focused and solution driven HR professional that feels comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related and have at least 4 / 5 years of relevant experience working in a front-line HR Advisor, HR Business Partner.
• You can collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization. You are keen to work in an international matrix organization.
• You are an effective communicator and have strong negotiating and organizational skills.
• You are able think strategically and plan ahead while staying flexible to changing priorities.
• You are an analytical thinker with the ability to analyze data and make appropriate recommendations.
• We also welcome internal applications from employees from other functions with people leader experience.
• You show emotional intelligence, humility, willingness to learn. You are able to give and receive feedback constructively.
• You possess high ethical standards and a positive attitude.
• You have expertise in German Employment Laws and the Works Council Constitution Act.
• You have full command of the German and English language, both written and verbal.
• You have proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and MS Teams.
