Are you an experienced Salesperson, currently working within the Toy i ndustry?

Do you have experience working within Mass Market - Retailers, Top Grocers, Value / Discount chains and so on?

Are you fluent in German and English?

My client is a well known Toy company, selling a large range of toys and gifts at an affordable price. They are well known in their sector, especially as a business who always have the top leading licences.

They are currently in a period of global growth, focusing on expanding the European business and are looking to add a Key Account Manager to the German business.

The role

As a Key Account Manager, you will report directly into the Managing Director and will be responsible for developing new customers, and taking the product to the German Mass Market space.

You will also be tasked with growing existing customer accounts in this area, acting as their first point of contact. You will also be required to put together, and executive a business plan on how to grow the German business further.

This role requires someone to have an existing network within the German Toy space.

Key responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with existing customers
  • Develop the German Mass Market
  • Work alongside internal team members to prepare a sales strategy for account growth
  • Act as the first point of contact for your customers
  • Deliver high levels of customer service to ensure repeat business
  • Prepare a target list with the aim of on boarding new customers
  • Network within the German Toy Market
  • Attend meetings with your clients both in person and over video
  • Report account growth back to board level

Ideal Candidate

You will already be a successful Salesperson, whether you have worked as a Key Account Manager, National or International Account Manger - but you must have covered Germany or the wider DACH region already.

You will also have experience specifically within the Toy market, or a very similar market such as Juvenile, Gifting, Gaming, Puzzles and so on.

You will have experience of working with Grocers, Retailers or Discount stores throughout the 'Mass Market' space. You will be confident in growing and developing customers.

  • Be able to demonstrate key account growth with previous customers

  • Be able to work well with internal team members
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Motivated to achieve targets
  • Confidence when negotiating

My client will offer a Key Account Manager a competitive base salary of up top €85,000 + A company car allowance of up to €10,000 + Generous bonus scheme, based on individual performance + Remote working + Phone, Laptop and other equipment provided .
