The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts.

You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing new customers (large, medium sized pharma companies and biotech companies) located within the North America or the European region with main focus on small molecule CDMO business (API and formulation).
  • Negotiate major contracts. (Supply Agreements, Master Service Agreements, etc.)
  • Constantly fine tuning the quoting process based on customer feedback.
  • Constantly interpreting customer, market and technology trends and providing feedback to the leadership team to drive future roadmap in Europe and North America.
  • Nurturing the right partnerships and building the eco-system for the company that enables greater visibility in the market and healthy lead flow.
  • Constantly influencing the market through participation in industry forums and market events.
  • Key driver in the process of achieving "Preferred Supplier" status at the targeted accounts.
  • This role is home based.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc in organic chemistry or MBA with BSc in organic chemistry from a reputed institute.
  • At least 10 years of experience and track record in new business development in reputed CDMO companies.
  • Candidate with working background from big CDMO company is preferred (API focused).
  • Professional with technical experiences in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Has the rich client resources and customer relationship in the USA and Europe Able to obtain USD 5M or more POs within 1 year.
  • Technical Contact of cGMP / non-GMP projects from big Pharma for multi-project management is preferred.
  • Highest standard of integrity and ethics.
  • Result orientation and proven execution capability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • International travel readiness.
