Director/VP Data & Analytics (gn) - Domain: Buying

Our customer is a service unit of a prominent international group with diversified business lines, including retail and e-commerce.

The company is undergoing a significant transformation towards becoming a data-driven enterprise. The Data & Analytics unit is at the forefront of this transformation, driving innovation in data, analytics and AI across the global operations in all regions of the world.

For the further expansion of the area, our client is looking for a Director / VP Data & Analytics (gn) preferably in the domain of Buying / Procurement.

Tasks

• E2E accountability for parts of the international Data & Analytics Buying / Procurement use case portfolio from initial vision to continuous improvement along value driven OKRs
• Assesses potential business value of use cases and establishes a clear recommendation on the use case prioritization in accordance with overall strategic target
• Defines use case development roadmap in close coordination with the broader organization and associated buying solution development, focusing on incremental value delivery
• Leads Data & Analytics use case squads and enables their product owner and analytical teams to develop and deploy use cases, collaborating with countries and international departments

Requirements

• Leadership experience (7+ years) working on buying topics (e.g., Ranging Decisions, pricing, negotiation etc) across technology and business departments
• Demonstrated team leadership, mentoring, relationship building, stakeholder management, strong problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate agile mindset and ways of working across teams and organizations at scale as well as strong communication skills to create stakeholder alignment
• Strong understanding of data and how to generate value from it for the wider organization
• Ideally experience across big data, data science and related industry practices
• Business fluent in English is a basic requirement
