Working Student Technology & Engineering (m/f/d)

Your mission

The Technology & Engineering team defines the access and aggregation network for Unsere Grüne Glasfaser. We provide technical specifications to the planning and deployment teams, select and qualify suitable materials for FTTH rollout, manage the setup of UGGs points of presence and build the aggregation network.

Furthermore, we support internet service providers to connect to our network.

As a working student you will

• Help us to manage the deployment process of new POPs (keep track of deployment activities, identify and resolve impediments and optimize the rollout process).
• Coordinate the activities required to build an aggregation network across multiple cities while considering capacity and redundancy requirements.
• Specify new materials that meet the planning teams requirements to improve the efficiency of the FTTH rollout.
• Learn everything about network protocols (TCP / IP, L2 / L3-BSA, PPPoE, DHCP), network architectures and their elements.
• Help internet service provider to connect to our network smoothly.

Your profile

• Studies in Electrical Engineering with focus on communications engineering, industrial engineering or computer science.
• Passionate team player with a can-do attitude.
• Self-motivated with a high level of proactivity and flexibility.
• Fluid in German and English, Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Minimum duration 6 month.
