HR and Payroll Coordinator
I am looking for a HR Generalist who loves to get stuck in with a company that provides flexible work hours and provides that work, life balance we all strive for.
You support the Director of HR Development and Planning and provide a complete and effective HR service across the International Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing front line advice and guidance to line managers and employees in relation to HR queries and assistance with HR systems
- Processing payroll, health insurance, pension and other payroll related matters for the assigned entities in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring full compliance with local payroll and taxation laws and adhering to all audit compliance requirements
- Supporting employee wellbeing
- Supporting employee relations and labor law (where applicable) cases
- Ensuring all country HR documentation is up to date and in line with business and legal requirements
- Ensuring the Company’s HR systems and personnel records are accurate and up to date
- Taking ownership of the recruitment process from start to finish, including but not limited to preparing job descriptions, drafting and placing job adverts, liaising with recruitment agencies and internal stakeholders, scheduling of and assisting with interviews, and ensuring all right to work and background checks (where applicable) are carried out in line with legal obligations
- Administering the full onboarding and induction process for new employees, including but not limited to preparing of contracts of employment and offers letters, and ensuring all HR paperwork is sent out and followed up in a timely manner prior to start
- Managing the probation process
- Assisting the US with translations for employee communications
- Ensuring exit interviews are conducted for all voluntary exits
- Providing assistance to the Director of HR Development and Planning with HR data requests from the US, in line with GDPR regulations
- Coordinating with the Director of HR Development and Planning to ensure seamless integration between systems, in line with GDPR regulations
- Assisting with HRIS analysis as required
- Acting as the Company’s HR representative with the Works Council (WC)
- Ensuring all WC HR related matters, including but not limited to approvals that fall within WC co-determination rights, are handled in a timely manner, and in line with legislation
- Fostering and putting forward suggestions for continuous improvement and standardization across the region.
- Sharing best practices across the organization.
- Adhering to all (company) policies and procedures.
- Assisting with basic office management duties
- Other HR tasks as required
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working in an HR Generalist role, dealing with a wide range of HR issues and subject matters for one year minimum
- Hands-on experience working with Works Councils, including as the official Company HR representative
- Experience supporting the HR function in a multi-location company beneficial
- Knowledge of labor legislation, taxation requirements and autoenrollment pensions (essential)
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (essential)
- Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Competency and Personal Attributes
- ENGLISH and GERMAN language is non negotiable
- Excellent communicator at all levels
- Friendly and approachable with good relationship building skills
- Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail
- Apprenticeship and / or business-related degree preferred
- Full and valid European / German Driving Licence
