As a Working Student in the Corporate Affairs & Communications department you will work closely
with the Public Affairs team and support the analysis of regulatory developments, the
development of political positions and engagement with decision-makers.

Working hours: 15 – 20 hours/ week
Duration: October 2026 – February 2027
Your Responsibilities
Political monitoring & analysis:
- You analyse EU and national legislative processes (. circular economy, energy,
decarbonisation) and assess their impact on the hygiene paper industry and WEPA.
Strategic public affairs work:
- You support the development of position papers, briefings and key political messages.
Stakeholder management:
- You prepare and follow up on meetings with policymakers, associations and other
relevant stakeholders.
Communication & content:
- You create presentations, internal updates and policy analyses for management and
internal stakeholders.
Project work:
- You contribute to public affairs projects and campaigns (. competitiveness,
sustainability, energy policy)
Your Profile
Qualification:
- You are in an advanced stage of your Bachelor's degree or enrolled in a Master's
programme, ideally in Political Science, Economics, Law, Engineering, or a comparable
field of study.
Knowledge & Experience:
- You have a strong interest in political regulation, industrial policy and sustainability.
- You have gained initial practical experience with political processes at EU or national
level. - You are proficient in using MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Languages:
- You have excellent written and spoken German and English language skills.
Working:
- You work independently, in a structured and analytical manner, and stand out through
your conscientious approach to work as well as your confident communication with a
wide range of stakeholders. - You have a quick grasp of complex topics, enjoy working on challenging subject matters,
and are able to present insights in a clear, understandable and target group-oriented way.
