Tasks

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for legged robotic systems including chassis sensor mounts drivetrain mechanisms and protective enclosures
• Optimise existing designs for series production taking into account all the relevant constraints and inputs (product requirements industrial design user experience target COGS etc.
• Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using CAD software (e.g. Fusion360 or Autodesk Inventor)
• Work closely with engineers to fabricate and test prototypes ensuring mechanical designs meet performance durability and safety requirements
• Perform stress analysis weight optimization and durability testing to improve the performance and reliability of mechanical designs
• Work closely with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical electrical and control systems
• Create and maintain detailed design documentation including drawings part specifications and bills of materials (BOMs)
