Your tasks

In this lab-focused role, you will be at the heart of our preclinical research and development. Your primary workplace will be the laboratory, where you will independently conduct technical experiments, optimize sample preparation, and refine detection methods for our core technologies. Depending on your professional experience, you will work largely independently or lead moderately complex experimental series on your own responsibility.

Your main tasks in the laboratory

• Experimental procedure: The experiments require handling inactivated viruses or bacteria, preparing sample dilutions, and performing rapid molecular tests.
• Methods & Sample Optimization: Conducting targeted experiments to optimize sample preparation and improve detection approaches coupled with our core diagnostic technology.
• Practical experimental design: exercising technical discretion in the practical design, execution and evaluation of experiments within the framework of preclinical projects.
• Laboratory Management & Safety: Active organization of daily laboratory operations, performance of routine maintenance work on laboratory equipment, and strict adherence to and monitoring of laboratory safety guidelines.
• Error detection directly at the bench: Independent identification of deviations and problems during the laboratory process and the development of practical solutions.
• Laboratory documentation: Complete and precise logging of all laboratory data directly within the framework of the applicable quality systems, as well as the creation of technical reports and validation protocols.

Your profile

• Successfully completed Bachelor's degree (BS) in Biology , preferably with a focus on cell biology or genetics , or completed vocational training, for example as a biology laboratory assistant or BTA .
• Several years of practical laboratory experience in industry or ideally in the field of in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) .
• Experience in handling common laboratory equipment, standard techniques and carrying out sequential experimental procedures.
• Ability to independently create experiment documentation, conduct experiments and analyze the results.
• Safe handling of computers and laboratory-related software applications for data acquisition.
• Excellent English and good German skills, both spoken and written.
• A high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and critical thinking skills.
• Teamwork skills for smooth collaboration in interdisciplinary research projects.
