Legal contract manager Jobs in München

Overview

Our client is one of the world's largest and most specialised construction groups. With a long-standing and growing presence in the Europe and Middle East, they are now seeking to permanently appoint a Contract Manager for a portfolio of projects in Germany.

This opportunity would suit an aspiring contract manager from a quantity surveying or engineering background who has had exposure to claims and disputes on civil infrastructure projects.

The Role

To support their division in Germany, they are looking to appoint a an experienced Contract Manager to support their ongoing projects in the country. Prior experience working in Germany and, in particular, with German Contract Law is essential. Ideally, you will have worked within the international construction environment and have previous experience with civil infrastructure projects, and must be fluent in German.

Our client is flexible when it comes to the location of the role, having offices in different cities in Germany such as Berlin, Munich, Stuttgard, Cologne, Hamburg and Dresden.

Duties will include but not limited to :

• Contract administration
• Subcontract management
• Contract management
• Claims
• Variation Orders
• EOTs
• Claims management
• Contract drafting and negotiation
• Dispute resolution and / or dispute boards
• Arbitration preparation

You

As someone with a developing experience in Contract Management, you will be a degree-qualified quantity surveyor, engineer, or construction professional. The role would not suit someone from purely a legal or economic background. You will know about employer and subcontractor management, contract negotiation and drafting, claims and variation orders, and dispute resolution. Fluency in both spoken and written German is essential.
