Responsibilities

Join TeamViewer as an Intern in our Software Engineering team and help us explore modern development practices enhanced by AI-assisted tools and workflows. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects, gain hands-on software development experience, and contribute to building and improving products used by customers around the world.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software functionality for our products and services

• Work with technologies including Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, C++, C#, and SQL

• Collaborate closely with experienced Software Engineers in a dynamic Agile environment

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, software quality, and engineering workflows

• Contribute to implementing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across different components of our platform

• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and technical discussions

• Work independently on solutions for specified requirements

• Be responsible for adhering to time and quality specifications

• Monitor technology trends and AI-assisted engineering practices and make proposals for improvement

Requirements

• You are currently enrolled in a university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

• Mandatory internship is part of your curriculum and will be used for this position

• Strong interest in software development, modern engineering practices, and AI-assisted development

• Solid programming experience in one or more of the following technologies: Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, or C#

• Basic understanding of SQL and data-driven applications is a plus

• Solid experience with version control systems such as Git

• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, Clean Code, and software design fundamentals

• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team

• Fluency in English

• Nice to have: Experience with React and modern web development frameworks

• Nice to have: Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar

• Nice to have: Familiarity with backend development and REST APIs

• Nice to have: Experience with Agile software development methodologies

• Nice to have: Previous experience through personal projects, open-source contributions, student projects, or internships

What we offer

• The contract location will be Göppingen, Germany

• Our Working Students in Germany receive a competitive monthly salary:

  • €1,566 for a 20-hour/week contract

  • €1,253 for a 16-hour/week contract

  • €1,400 for a full-time internship position
