In this role, you will help to scale up and industrialize our protein production processes and ensure smooth technology transfer into manufacturing environments with external partners (CMOs). Your mission will be to bring robust downstream processing expertise into day-to-day execution, supporting scale-up, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement from development to commercial production.

Your responsibility and impact within AMSilk company means to:

• Contribute bioprocess expertise to the design and execution of cross-functional projects
• Scale up bioprocesses from laboratory to pilot and industrial scale, ensuring robust performance, reproducibility, and industrial feasibility
• Participate in the execution of technology transfers to industrial production partners as a bioprocess expert, providing on-site support when required
• Own sample and data management, ensuring structured documentation, traceability, and decision-ready data
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis during technology transfers and commercial production, supporting fast issue resolution and stable operations on-site and remotely
• Support the Process Development and New Technology departments in designing new processes

Your areas of knowledge and expertise are:

• Degree in bioprocess engineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a related subject, with a strong understanding of bioprocesses and operating units
• 3+ years' experience in biotechnology, biotech manufacturing, process engineering, process development or technology transfer
• Experience in downstream processing; experience in bacterial fermentation is advantageous
• Strong documentation skills and a structured approach to data analysis
• Solid problem-solving mindset, with experience in troubleshooting, deviation handling and process stabilisation in manufacturing environments
• Confident communicator with a collaborative working style across internal and external stakeholders
• Project management experience is advantageous
