One focus of applied research in the department Electrochemical Energy Storage is therefore on the new and further development of flow and non-flow battery systems.

As part of the advertised thesis, you will design and evaluate a 3-electrode measuring system for flow batteries.

What you will do

• Research on the state of the art for 3-electrode measuring systems
• Construction of a half-cell test setup for flow batteries
• Electrochemical investigation of various flow battery half cells
• Validation of the measurement setup
• Comparison with measurements in "non-flow" conditions
