Internship/ Thesis Downstream Development (m/w/d)

Responsibilities
Experimental studies in the lab involving downstream unit operations (e.g. chromatography, filtration) and corresponding analytics (e.
g. HPLC, cGE, ELISA, qPCR)
- Optimization and automation of lab and data analysis workflows
- Calibration and validation of mechanistic models as well as optimization of downstream unit operations using GoSilico software
What is important to us
- Student in one of the following or equivalent areas : bioengineering, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, technical biology
- High level of motivation, good team working skills and ability to implement pragmatic solutions
- Basic experience with preparative chromatography and / or filtration techniques for protein purification
- High interest and ideally basic experience in mechanistic modeling of downstream unit operations
- Basic experience in programming (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C++) is considered a plus
- Internship period of at least 3 months plus thesis of 6 months
