Internship/ Thesis Downstream Development (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

Experimental studies in the lab involving downstream unit operations (e.g. chromatography, filtration) and corresponding analytics (e.

g. HPLC, cGE, ELISA, qPCR)

• Optimization and automation of lab and data analysis workflows
• Calibration and validation of mechanistic models as well as optimization of downstream unit operations using GoSilico software

What is important to us

• Student in one of the following or equivalent areas : bioengineering, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, technical biology
• High level of motivation, good team working skills and ability to implement pragmatic solutions
• Basic experience with preparative chromatography and / or filtration techniques for protein purification
• High interest and ideally basic experience in mechanistic modeling of downstream unit operations
• Basic experience in programming (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C++) is considered a plus
• Internship period of at least 3 months plus thesis of 6 months
