Regional Proposal Manager (f/m/d)

Join our DP World Team in Europe as Regional Proposal Manager (f / m / d) and play a key role in executing the proposal strategy with internal teams.

This position impacts the ability to secure new business opportunities and maintains our existing customer relationships by managing the entire lifecycle of a proposal from conception to submission.

This position is recruited remotely within Europe.

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Introduce potential new clients to the range of services offered by the company and win new business off of these introductions.
• Enhance the company’s brand throughout the industry including our key service offerings and our differentiators.
• Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of current and future bids.
• Ensure all new business wins and submitted bids are as per internal financial rules.
• Ensure full coordination internally across all parties in company on any client bids.
• Own the commercial relationship and contract negotiations with the client for all new business wins.
• Account Management of the clients for ongoing business.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Key Qualifications

• MBA background or equivalent (in Engineering or Operations would be an advantage)
• Thorough knowledge of the automotive industry and the contract logistics industry and range of services utilized within the automotive industry.
• Thorough knowledge of the sales cycle within a supply chain services company.
• Highly customer focused intuitive, flexible and responsive to customer needs.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to clients, peers, management at all levels of the company and external groups.
• Ability to travel at 60%

About the Role

How you will contribute

• You will evaluate RFIs, RFPs, RFQs to determine what requirements need to be met and exceeded to submit proposals to the customers
• You will ensure that high quality, competitive proposals (mainly for Global Key Accounts) are delivered timely and accurate in collaboration with the leading Tender Manager and / or Bid Owner
• You will ensure and support that compliant and professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes are delivered (not pricing)
• You will communicate with other functional groups such as but not limited to Marketing, IT, Product and other SMEs regarding specific proposal content
• You will ensure compliance with Proposal Management processes and guidelines
• You will support the implementation and roll-out of the proposal management software
• You will maintain and update a Content Management System for Tender Management

What you will bring

• You successfully finished your studies on a higher educational level (ideally a degree in business administration, economics, logistics)
• You speak and write English fluently, additional languages are a plus
• You already gained a minimum 3 years of working experience, and ideally a minimum of 1 year in the industry
• You have strong communication and writing skills
• You have Excellent know-how of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• You have functional and operational know-how in global forwarding
• You have a deep market knowledge (customers, freight services)
• You bring basic knowledge in finance & good business practice
• Ideally you have experience in the field of Supply Chain & Logistics
