You are excited to be the connecting factor between the various external and internal stakeholders as our new Product Owner Catalog Management (m / f / d).
You identify the needs of all stakeholders and make sure, together with the team, the backlog is filled, managed, and prioritized in the right way.
You are familiar with being part of an agile team and working with other professionals to create as much value as possible and in the most efficient way for our Catalog Management solution.
You share the planning with internal stakeholders and keep everyone informed during the process. Of course, you document all steps for up-to-date administration.
This way you provide structure and overview for all departments involved in our organization.
Your job
You get excited about analyzing requirements, think actively and process-wise, and are responsible for writing specifications for the product development team.
You feel responsible for continuously bringing the Catalog Management service to a higher level, having a clear focus, do not fear deadlines, and maintaining the product roadmap to ensure an always up-to-date state.
As our new Product Owner Catalog Management (m / f / d), you :
- create, together with the Product Manager, the Catalog Management roadmap
- manage and refine the team backlog
- create and work out user stories in detail so the team can work on them
- adapt the product backlog based on learnings of previous sprints and communicate changes to the Product team
- determine priorities in consultation with the Scrum team and the Product Manager
- actively think along in solving problems, even if they are not your problems
- regularly consult with the other Product Owners and Product Managers
- constantly evaluate the progress and overall status of the product towards achieving the product vision
- participate actively in all scheduled team meetings that are needed to build the best Catalog Management solution
Your Responsibilities
Your role as Product Owner Catalog Management (m / f / d) leverages a number of responsibilities that are very important to Onventis.
- Elaborating, managing, and prioritizing the product backlog
- Translating Product Managers’ strategies to goals for development
- Learning the market and customers’ needs
- Serving as a liaison between product and development
- Staying accessible to development to answer questions.
Your Competencies
As our new Product Owner Catalog Management (m / f / d), you are communicatively strong and can translate the wishes and requirements of our customers as well as internal stakeholders in the right way.
You make sure everything is completely clear to the other members of the scrum team. In addition, it is important to show ownership by focusing on the planned functionality to be delivered.
This role also requires autonomy and creativity but also flexibility when other choices are made than you had in mind. Furthermore, you are curious and eager to learn because you want to understand something first before finding an appropriate solution for it.
Your Profile
- Your English is excellent both written and verbal
- At least a completed Bachelor's degree
- You have a deep understanding of catalog management and eProcurement processes and concepts. This involves knowledge of how products are categorized, organized, and maintained in a catalog system, as well as familiarity with product attributes, taxonomy, and metadata
- Its a plus if there is some experience of different Catalogs type like Punch Out Catalogs, OCI's and thrid party Integrations like Amazon Business and Unite
- You do have the ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions
- It would be desirable if you would be familiar with various interface technologies, such as APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and web services as well as micro services
- It would be beneficial if you have a Product Owner certification either with Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org
- You bring at least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner
- You have experience with internal and external stakeholder management
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile frameworks
- You are a real team player
- Last but certainly not least, you are truly a "product" person who knows what it takes to create excellent SaaS software products
