Head of Collections - Germany (occasional travel) - up to €110,000 + bonus and benefits

A leading technology company based in Germany, renowned for its innovative debt collection solutions, is seeking an Operational and Process Focused Head of Collections to taken ownership of this division.

With a commitment to excellence and a dedication to leveraging technology for operational efficiency, they are looking for a skilled individual to lead their collections team.

Position Overview :

The company seeks an Operational and Process Focused Head of Collections to lead this crucial aspect of their business. In this role, you will have the autonomy to drive forward initiatives and strategies within the collections department, shaping the direction of this pivotal area across the business.

They will oversee both collections agents and a team of technical experts, ensuring the seamless operation of debt collection systems and translating business requirements into actionable tasks for the team.

Additionally, a good grasp of IT and software development processes is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Managing and leading a team of collections agents and technical professionals responsible for debt collection software (including P&L responsibility).
• Serving as the communication bridge between the collections agents, technical team, and various departments across the company.
• Translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring their successful implementation.
• Developing and implementing efficient operational processes for debt collection activities.
• Monitoring and optimising the performance of debt collection systems to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process / efficiency improvements and implementing solutions.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in debt collection and technology to drive innovation within the company.

Qualifications :

• Extensive experience in the collections industry, with a comprehensive understanding of debt collection processes and regulations.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with a focus on operational excellence and process improvement.
• A technical or data-driven mindset, with the ability to comprehend and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationship-building and collaboration across departments.
• C1 German speaking and above
