At birkle IT, we’re on the search for a DevOps Engineer to help modernize IT systems and tackle exciting projects in the public sector.
As a DevOps Engineer (m / f / d), you will actively shape the modernization and future-proofing of a complex service landscape and ensure that the systems not only meet current requirements, but also remain fit for the future.
With your know-how in automation and process optimization, you will drive innovation and pave the way for efficient and scalable IT security solutions that offer our customers real added value.
Your Responsibilities
- Requirements assessment and advice : Working closely with customers to identify technical requirements and advise on optimal solutions
- Documentation : Creation and maintenance of technical documentation on architecture, processes and workflows
- Kubernetes clusters and containerization : Building, configuring, and operating Kubernetes clusters, as well as migrating and optimizing applications in Docker containers
- Scripting and automation : Development of automation scripts in Python and Bash to increase efficiency
- Monitoring, logging and security : Implement monitoring and logging solutions, as well as establish and monitor security policies.

Your Expertise
- Completed university degree, preferably in the field of (business) informatics or business administration or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience in the field of DevOps, system administration or software development
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Git and repository management tools
- Sound knowledge of working with Linux systems, shell scripting and Python
- Strong communication skills and experience in advising and supporting customers
- Independent way of working, high problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team. Willingness to continuously train and adapt to new technologies
- Possession of a valid Level 3 security clearance (SÜ3), or readiness to obtain, required.
