Data Protection Specialist - German

We are looking for a German speaking Data Protection Specialist to join our growing team who provides detailed advice and guidance to some of the best digital health and medtech companies in Europe and beyond.

What the role will involve :
This will be a customer-facing role, so you will need to be confident in your spoken and written German and English. You will primarily assist our customers with their legal and technical compliance for GDPR, and eventually other relevant regulations.
You will work alongside our existing team of legal and compliance experts, who are consulting on HIPAA, ISO 27001, AI Act and others.
There will also be the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing product development and improvement. From time to time you will also contribute to our growing library of technical guidelines and presentations.

Your responsibilities :
- Assisting Chino.io customers on data protection and GDPR compliance challenges.
- Writing legal policies and documents for customers’ compliance.
- Preparing and delivering presentations to potential customers.
- Implementing customized legal policies and procedures for customers data protection.
- Potentially acting as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities, regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Offering legal tailored training to customers on data protection.
- Assisting customers on data subject requests and incident management.
- Ensuring privacy practices align with regulatory and compliance standards by identifying potential areas of vulnerability and developing and executing risk mitigation action plans for customers.
- Scheduling follow-up calls and meetings.
- Attending relevant industry events, presentations or trainings.
- Working closely with our Project Manager and other team members to develop and implement our consultancy services.
- Contributing to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
Requirements :
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in consultancy on data protection and legal fields ( GDPR) .
- Very det ail-oriented approach needed to recommend and implement improvements on a range of data privacy and data protection issues.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
- Good knowledge of cloud, mobile and web applications.
- Ability to evaluate tech solutions based on legal aspects.
- Ability to write articles and legal-technical guidelines.
- Willingness to learn about technical and security requirements of software and applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills; the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, follow up, produce consistently accurate work, and meet strict deadlines.
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
